Lucknow: While commemorating former PM Chandra Shekhar on his 91st birth anniversary, on Monday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was seen audaciously acknowledging the peril that our country has been facing since ages.

Yogi Adityanath presented his views on the atrocious practice of Triple Talaq and equated it with the derobing of Draupadi in Mahabharata. “Those who are silent are equal culprits as those who are conducting the act or the one helping them” he said in a gathering funded by Chandra shekhar trust which is been working under the guardianship of SP MLC.

Justified Uniform Civil code

Backing his views on Triple Talaq with the aid of a book named Chandrashekhar Sansad published by Chandrashekhar trust, the CM justified the norms of Uniform Civil Code saying even Chandrashekhar was an intercessor of this norm and was in full support of it.

He further stated the call for uniform civil code is to end religious unrest in India and added that if the laws governing foreclosure are same then why the laws governing the marriage are distinct in different religions.

Attacked 'Yadav Clan'

Further in his speech, he attacked Samajwadi Party asserting it to be the party running on the strategy of imperialism rather than socialism (Samajwadi). Without calling on names he said Chandra shekhar was the real socialist unlike people who veiled hooliganism, religious violence and prioritized family interest in the name of socialism.

Chandra Shekhar reminds us of true Janata Partians like Lohiya, Narendradev who had kept alive the spirit of socialism.
