Boat carrying 60 people capsizes in Baghpat; 22 meet watery grave

Lucknow: At least 22 people died while 12 people were managed to be rescued and admitted to hospital after a boat capsized in river Yamuna in Baghpat on Thursday morning.

The police said that the boat was carrying as many as 60 people.

According to the officials the forces are on the spot and the rescue operation is underway.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, 6 people died after drowning in river Ganga in Bihar’s Maranchi.
