BJP MLA from Gorakhpur resigns from his post for Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: Bharatiya Janata Party's member of legislative assembly Bipin Singh has offered to forego his seat for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as he has to become a member of either of the houses of the assembly within six months to stay as the Chief Minister of the state.

Bipin Singh has won the assembly elections of 2017 from Gorakhpur Rural constituency of the state.

It could be recalled that, on March 18 last, the leadership of the saffron party including 80 MLAs met in Lucknow and decided to appoint controversial Hindu hardliner leader as its CM designate to rule India's biggest state for the next 5 years.
