Big relief to MGNREGA workers, CM Yogi transfers 225.39 crore

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emerged as a troubleshooter for workers facing lockdown due to Corona crisis. On the first Mangal of Jyeshtha, the honorarium of employment servants was doubled from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Earlier, Rs 3630 was available, which has now been increased to Rs 6000. The huge amount of 225.39 crores transferred in the account of employment servants is no less than surprise for them.

This morning, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath worked to put such a huge amount in his account under Digital India with one click. This resulted in a gift of 225.39 crores to 35,818 employment servants at one click. On this occasion, the Yogi government has also increased the honorarium of employment servants. Earlier, the employment servants used to get Rs. 3630 per month, which will now be increased to 6000 per month.

UP employs 22 lakh MGNREGA workers:

This amount will be delivered directly from DBT to the employment servants' account. UP is the state which employs the most 22 lakh MGNREGA workers in the country. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the target of providing employment to 50 lakh MGNREGA workers by the end of May. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed that to serve the needy in a big way and provide adequate employment opportunities to the needy through MGNREGA.

The Chief Minister said that so far, financial assistance of Rs 314.24 crore has been disbursed to 31.42 lakh workers and destitute people at the rate of Rs 1,000. These include 17.04 lakh workers associated with construction work, 8.24 lakh workers in urban areas and 6.14 lakh workers in rural areas. Uttar Pradesh is the leading state in the country with 22.63 lakh MGNREGA workers working in 45,480 Gram Panchayats of the state.
