Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh minister Siddharth Nath Singh, on Saturday, said that corruption allegations against former UP minister Azam Khan will be probed thoroughly.

Nath said that Azam Khan appeared to have committed irregularities by facilitating sale of Waqf Board lands to different people at throwaway prices.

Renowned Shia cleric Kalbe Jawad accused the former Urban Development Minister of building a scam of Rs 500 crore.

It may be mentioned that this is not the first occasion when such allegations have been leveled against Azam Khan. Central Waqf board member Dr Sayed Azaz Abbas Naqvi also had tagged Azam as 'Waqf Mafia' and accused him of illegally grabbing the waqf lands.
