Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Lucknow University organizes a 'Blood Donation Camp' in coordination with KGMU

LUCKNOW: On October 11, 2021, under the theme of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', Legal Aid Centre at Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow organized a 'Blood Donation Camp' in coordination with KGMU Lucknow, Blood Connect Organization and District Legal Services Authority, Lucknow.

Prior to the conduction of this Blood Donation Camp, on October 07-10, the members of the Legal Aid Centre in coordination with Blood Connect Organization had conducted a Blood Donation Awareness Programme in every department of the campus.

At around 10:30 AM, the Blood Bank Bus of KGMU Lucknow arrived at the premises of Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow.

Around 11:20 AM, our Head & Dean Prof. (Dr) C.P. Singh in the presence of Dr. Anurag Kumar Srivastava (Chairperson, Legal Aid Centre) and Assistant Prof. Rajiv Rathi inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp.

Subsequently after the inauguration, the blood donors emerged in large numbers and the registration for the blood donation camp started. The donors included students from Faculty of Law, Management, Tourism and Engineering. As a token of encouragement for the student donors, the teachers of the foregoing faculty's also participated in the Blood Donation Camp.

Following the donation of blood, the donors were provided with the 'Certificate of Recognition' from KGMU Lucknow as a part of recognizing their vital contribution towards society. From Blood Connect Organization, the donors were gifted several native blood connect goodies including keyring, bookmarks etc. From Legal Aid Centre, the donors were bestowed with refreshment including juice and fruits.

More than 60 individuals donated blood during the Blood Donation Camp. The Blood Connect Organization expressed its immense pleasure on the huge rise in number of donors as compared to last year. Anupam Gupta, Student Convenor, Legal Aid Centre also expressed his pleasure stating that seeing the number of individuals wanting to donate blood fill us with encouragement to conduct more such blood donation camp in the coming future.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh and his team members were present from KGMU Lucknow.

Mohd. Shahid (City President), Aman Jaiswal (Senior Manager), Shivi Chaddha (Member) and other members were present from Blood Connect Organization.
