Balrampur: The villagers of Tulsipur, Harpur and Janakpur in Balrampur assembly constituency of the district boycotted the fifth phase of polling on Monday to express anger over developmental issues.

No votes were casted from these villages.

The electorate of village said that they were disappointed with the government over no developmental work being done in their village.

The angry voters stated, “since our votes do not benefit our own village, we have decided to boycott the assembly elections. The leaders we elect pay no heed to our necessities. We are still living in the same condition since past many years and now we have decided not to vote for any candidate."

Voting for four constituencies of the district namely Tulsipur, Gainpur, Utraula and Balrampur has been started and the results will be declared on March 11.
