Allahabad/Lucknow: The High School and Intermediate examinations 2015-16, arguably the biggest exam of the World, commenced at over 12000 centres in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.

Conducted by UP secondary Education Board, popularly known as UP Board, the exam has about 68 lakh students appearing in examinations for both the classes.

  • UP Board is supposed to be the biggest examination body of the world.
  • A total of 67,93,034 students are registered for the examinations including 37,49,977 students for high school and 30,43,057 students for intermediate examination.
  • This year the number of examinees is 3.69 lakh more than as compared to the last year – 2.51 lakh more in Class 10 and 1.18 lakh in Class 12, According to Secretary UP Board Shail Yadav.
  • The High School Exams will end on March 9 while Intermediate exams will conclude on March 21.
