Allahabad: A desperate Congress in Uttar Pradesh has played 'Kejriwal card' when the state Congress President Raj Babbar on Saturday said that if his party came to power in the state , the electricity tariffs would be halved beside waiving off the farmers loans.

The UPCC President Babbar must have in the mind how Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had divested the Congress of the power in Delhi by making such promises. Refusing to admit that it was only a pipe dream of the Congress to regain power in Uttar Pradesh, he said the party was doing well in this direction and meant it what promised.

The lower class, middle class and dalits were fed up with the misrules of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party and now comes the opportunity for them to elect the party which cared for all the sections of the society. ''High power tariffs and loans are pinching everyone, especially the peasant calss, hence the Congress proposed to dilute their woes.

BJP suffers from Rahul fixation:

  • Raj Babbar says the Bharatiya Janata Party has all its guns trained at Congress Vice President rahul Gandhi.
  • In fact, BJP is terrified of Rahul, politically.
  • It is said that the BJP leaders always attack Rahul Gandhi either through lame remarks or fake allegations.
  • Rahul's programmes are unnecessarily targeted or even BJP supporters move to court with flimsy charges.

BJP is double faced:

  • Babbar accused the BJP of being double faced.
  • BJP has divided the country on communal, economic and even on social basis.
  • The Modi government has divided the country in two parts.
  • In part, the poor and farmers live.
  • The other part belongs to crony capitalists like Vijay Mallya and others.

Meawnhile, the Congress' chief ministerial candidate Sheila Dixit was in Lucknow on Saturday from where she had a road show in the rural areas of the state capital.
