Hoax bomb creates panic at Meja railway station of Allahabad

Allahabad: A suspected time bomb was found at Meja railway station in Allahabad division on Thursday morning, sources said.

The bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and the people were evacuated. The bomb was reportedly found under the foot-over bridge at the railway station.

After the initial check, the bomb disposal squad revealed that it was a prank. Wires were wrapped around paper cylinders filled with sugarcane chunks. A letter, demanding Rs 2 crore, was also found with the fake bomb.
