Alld HC extends bail of NRHM scam accused IAS Pradeep Shukla

Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court has extended the bail of senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Pradeep Shukla, an accused in the multi-crore National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam.

A division bench comprised of justice Arun Tandon has also extended the bail of few other officials and directed the accused should give an affidavit to deposit Rs ten lakh, who were accused in the same, asking them to file an affidavit that they would deposit Rs 10 lakhs each.

The court has fixed July 21 as the next date of hearing.

The CBI court of Ghaziabad had awarded him the bail on the condition of depositing Rs 50 lakh. Pradeep Shukla had appealed in the lower court for reduction in the amount. After he was denied reief, he moved the allahbad High Court which passed the order.

Earlier, the accused was asked to deposit rs five lakh and in the fresh order, it had asked to give undertaking to deposit rs ten lakh.
