Allahabad: The Allahabad high court took a serious note for not taking proper steps to comply court directions to make the city of Allahabad free from pollution, to provide proper parking in the city and to implicate the rule regarding user charges payable with the Nagar nigam

A two judge-bench comprising justice Dilip Gupta and justice Yashwant Verma hold personal liability of Municipal Commissioner, S .P .(Traffic) and vice-chairperson of Allahabad Development Authority (ADA). The court observed,"in case of laxity in implementation of earlier directions or upon it being found on review that no perceivable change has come about, the court shall be constrained to hold the Municipal commissioner, S P (traffic) and the Vice Chairperson Allahabad Development Authority personally responsible.

The court has fixed August 11 2016 for next hearing.

The court has asked the UP pollution control board to file proper affidavit in the matter and further to dipute a responsible offers who would be present in the court on the next date fixed.

Earlier the court had directed to ensure that commercial establishment, auto repair /accessory shops, eateries restaurant and liquor shops are not permitted to allow the parking of vehicles on road sides and public pathways.
