Allahabad High Court imposes fine for PIL against appointment of Advocate General

Allahabad: Allahabad High Court has directed the state government to provide security to family of slain Shrawan Sahu till completion of trial in Ayush murder case.

The verdict was pronounced by the division bench of justices Ajay Lamba and Vijay Laxmi of the HC. A district court will here the Ayush murder case on Wednesday.

It could be mentioned that in October 2013, Akeel Ansari had shot dead Ayush Sahu, 26, outside a beer shop in Thakurganj.

Ayush's father Shravan had lodged an FIR against Akeel and was pursuing the case before he, too, was killed on February 1 last, at Akeel's behest.

Ayush's murder took place on October 16, 2013 and the ballistic report took three years to get prepared. The ballistic report, which was prepared on September 1, 2015, clearly states that striations found on bullet recovered from Ayush's body could not be matched with the ones found on the murder weapon recovered by the police.

The report, however, confirmed that the cartridges and shells that were found from the crime scene were fired from the same weapon.
