Yogi government seals three illegal slaughterhouses in Agra

Agra: A team of Agra Nagar Nigam sealed three illegal slaughterhouses in the Taj City on Wednesday. The newly formed Yogi Adityanath government in the state has launched a movement against the shambles that do not meet the specified norms.

The state administration has claimed that the movement will continue against the illegal slaughterhouses.

It may be mentioned that several butchers are approaching the Nagar Nigam seeking issuance of new licenses and renewal of the old ones for running shambles in the state. The government, however, has refused to issue any new licenses.

The department is only renewing the licenses of those meat shops which meet the government specified criteria.
