CM Akhilesh Yadav helps Russian bahu at Sushma Swaraj’s request

Agra: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday stepped forward to help a Russian lady, who was seeking the share of her husband in her in-laws’ property, after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj urged him to do so in a tweet.

Vikrant Singh Chandel along with his wife Olga Efimenkova and a toddler son was denied entry into his ancestral house, situated at Indrapuri locality of the city, by his parents.

Earlier, the couple was settled in Goa but they had to shift to Agra following loss in business. The matter was, however, settled after Akhilesh’s intervention and the UP CM took to micro blogging site Twitter to inform about this.
