Police, journalists were killed under SP rule: Swami Prasad Maurya

Agra: Launching a fresh salvo at Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party rebel Swami Prasad Maurya, said about 1100 police men and several journalists lost their lives in the last five years in Uttar Pradesh.

“The law and order situation in the state is that worse that even police men are unsafe in UP. When our guards are not secured then how commoners could instill sense of security,” said Maurya while addressing a gathering in Aliganj constituency of Etah district here.

“Officers including deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Zia-ul-Haq, superintendent of police (SP) Mukul Dwivedi and several others were murdered under SP’s rule,” he further stated.

BJP leader also alleged Samajwadi Party of burning a journalist to death for exposing SP leaders in Saharanpur district.

What else Swami Prasad Maurya said?

  • Cases of murder, kidnapping, rape, extortion, riots, illegal sand mining and sale of illegal liquor have become common under the governance of Akhilesh Yadav.
  • A teenage girl was gang-raped in Bulandshahr and one senior SP leader dubbed it as a politically motivated act.
  • The SP-Congress alliance is an alliance of Gundaraj and corruption.
  • Samajwadi Party also acted out a drama of infighting, hiding party’s failure.

It could be recalled that Swami Prasad Maurya has recently joined Bharatiya Janata Party.
