Bangaluru: Infuriated by her techie husband for checking her cell-phone, a woman allegedly slashed his fingers with a kitchen knife in the capital of Karnataka.

The incident took place on May 4 last at their apartment in Kaikondanahalli locality of the city and came to light on Tuesday when the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

According to Chandraprakash Singh, his wife Sunitha was addicted to mobile-phone, which had, even earlier, led to frequent quarrels between them. He stated that he did not find the dinner ready when he returned from work on May 4. When he asked for it, she told that she had ordered the food from a restaurant and that it would be delivered shortly. All the while, she was reportedly busy with her phone, which led to a war of words between the couple.

Subsequently, Chadraprakash snatched her phone and started checking the messages in it. Enraged Sunitha, went to the kitchen where her husband slapped her and that is when the lady got hold of a knife and assaulted him, slashing his fingers.

Hence, Chandraprakash dropped the phone and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Highlights:

  • The couple is from Bihar and have been married for seven years.
  • An investigation was underway and the police summoned their parents for a patch up.
