Was ‘intruder’ into UP IAS whatsapp group an IAS?

Lucknow: The IAS fraternity in Uttar Pradesh is tight-lipped over an objectionable message posted by an 'intruder' on the Whatsapp group of officers. The stoic silence of the Indian Administrative Service officers is attributed to the fact that 'intruder' was none other than but an officer among themselves who posted the message on the group by entering on a different number.

A senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer told newztrack.com that the issue was dropped after a lot of hue cry was made within the fraternity which later decided to put it under the wrap being too trivial an issue to make public.

It was during the IAS week last month when a highly derogatory message about a lady IAS officer and a senior journalist was posted in the group to the dismay of other officers as it is a close group. The admin of the group Zuher Bin Saghir, when contacted at time had said that it was being looked into how and who sneaked into the group. His stance,however, changed afterwards when he refused to speak on the subject saying '' you ask anything about my work but not about other issues'.

It may ,however, look ironical that the how an 'outsider' could enter the whatsapp group of all powerful IAS officers? “ The issue is as good as closed for the officers,’’ said a senior functionary of UP IAS association.
