Liquor baron Vijay Mallya resigns from the Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Industrialist Vijay Mallya on Monday resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha.

His resignation has come a day ahead of the scheduled meeting of the parliamentary ethics committee which was likely to recommend his expulsion from the Upper House.

Earlier, the government has revoked his passport.
