Video: Child labour serves tea in labour department of Mahoba

Mahoba: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Mahoba visit, an officer of the Labour Department namely Atul Srivastava was caught on camera while enjoying tea being served by a minor boy at the Labour Department outside the Collector Office at Makaniya Purva locality of Mahoba town in UP.

The minor boy, who is a student of class sixth in a local school, was serving tea to the officer of the Labour Department and he, along with other workers of the department, was quite enjoying the kid’s services, when department claims to stand against ‘child labour’.

Highlights:

• Srivastava started questioning the child as soon as he realized that the act was being captured on camera.
• He lost his cool when reporters tried to speak to him about the incident and claimed that he never asked the kid to bring tea for him.
• The officer even claimed that there was not even a single child labourer in the entire Mahoba district.
