New Delhi: A video has gone viral on social media showing Indian Army jawan slamming students raising anti-India slogans at college campuses.

In the video, army jawan Shri Ram Gode of 9th battalion of Maratha Infantry could be seen raising his voice against those who are supporting terrorists like master mind of 2011 Indian Parliament attack and 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind Yakub Menon.

The video was tweeted by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on his official Twitter handle.

What army man Shri Ram Gode of 9th battalion of Maratha Infantry said?

  • It pained me to see, while army jawans were standing along the LoC to protect the nation, students in the capital and in campuses like Jawahar Lal Nehru University shout slogans backing Afzal Guru and burning Indian National flag.
  • In JNU campuses, slogans like ‘Afzal hum sharminda hai, tere katil zinda hai’ are recited and 2001 Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru is paid homage. This, however, does not hurt. The part which hurts the most is when thousands and lakhs of people stand along them singing the same tune.
  • It was justified to hang 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind Yakub Menon to death and again the alarming situation arose when lakhs gather at his cremation process.
  • It also hurts when we see people demanding proofs of surgical strike.
