UP CM directs surprise inspections regarding development works

Lucknow: Assessing status of development works and public welfare programmes, Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday directed officials to make surprise inspections.

Following the same, the Chief Secretary Mr. Deepak Singhal and other senior officials did surprise inspection and reviewed development works in Ghazipur.

State government spokesman said that officials are asked to review the ongoing development works physically and gather feedback from the people.

The Chief Minister has also expected from officials that they asses the working of the government services, power supply, presence of doctors and other staff at the government hospitals and other works in a threadbare manner.

Spokesman added that the official are also asked make efforts to take direct feedback from people on how much benefit the needy were getting out of these programmes.

During the inspection of districts, law and order and crime control should also be reviewed in detail, said Akhilesh Yadav.

Tough action is also instructed against lax officials by the UP CM.

In compliance to the instructions of the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary Home Mr. Debashish Panda, Principal Secretary Energy Mr. Sanjay Agarwal and DGP Mr. Jawed Ahmad are also accompanying the Chief Minister directs officials to make surprise inspections to assess status of development works and public welfare programmes.
