New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who will be on a two-day visit to violence affected Kashmir from Saturday, will not be engaging with the separatists.

It will be the first visit of Rajnath Singh after violence broke out in the valley following the killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani. Singh will hold discussions with political parties, civil society groups, representatives of media houses to calm down the situation in Kashmir.

The Union Home Minister will also hold a separate interaction with media groups, which have come out strongly against the recent ban on publication of newspapers in the state. He will stay at the state government-run Nehru Guest House to ensure that he is accessible to all.

The final leg of his meetings is with the security agencies and J&K government brass, involving a comprehensive law and order review and outlining of further strategies.
