New Delhi: Two files related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose have gone missing from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Union Home Minister of State, Kiran Rijiju, told the Lok Sabha during the question-hour, on Tuesday, that one of the files was missing from Home Ministry while the other from the PMO.

  • He stated that the files contained details about Netaji’s ashes which were brought back to India from Tokyo.
  • The files also had papers related to the construction of a national memorial at the Red Fort.
  • Japan also has a total of five files related to Netaji, of which it will reveal two, by the end of the year.
  • The government has planned to reveal 25 files related to Subhash Chandra Bose every month.
