Hyderabad: A disturbing video of three puppies being set afire by five boys went viral on social media. The incident took place in Patahnwadi area of Musheerabad in Hyderabad.

The video was recorded by the boys themselves.

Group of boys tied up three puppies and killed them after setting them on fire.

However, complaint has been lodged against the three accused and they were taken into custody.

As per reports, the incident of cruelty towards dogs took place on July 16.

Previously, another such kind of incident took place in Chennai where a man threw a dog from the terrace of a building. The man was arrested but got a bail within an hour.

Sadly, several such incidents have happened in the recent past in which pet animals were handled brutally.

The maximum punishment for killing an animal is just Rs. 50.

It is distressing that we lack any stringent laws to curb over the repeated upsetting incidents.
