Lucknow: Super 30 founder Anand Kumar on Monday revealed that his renowned institution would select 60 students, coming from poor background, instead of 30 from across the country to prepare them for the prestigious IIT examination from this year onwards.

Kumar, who interacted with students and media over tea here on Monday, also claimed that the examination for admission in his coaching institute will be held in the Uttar Pradesh capital on June 24.

This year, the Super 30 will conduct two examinations – first for Class 10 pass outs and second for Class 12 pass out or appearing students.

The forms for the 'entrance examinations' will be available for the students at Indira Nagar Sector 14-based school from June 20 to June 23 till 5 pm. The form is priced at Rs 70, but the students, coming from families earning below Rs 15,000 per month, can get the form free of cost. They will also get free of cost education if they qualify the examination.

It may be mentioned that so far Anand Kumar has taught 450 students over the past 15 years. Among those, 396 got selected in top IIT colleges. This year also, all his 30 students got selected in IIT colleges, while one of them belongs to Uttar Pradesh.

Anand Kumar further said that he would start giving the online tutorials to the selected students on his institution's official website super30.org from October 2017. He will charge Rs 2 per student, and will utilise the earnings on the education of selected candidates.
