SP MLA's fires at a Dalit, police refused to register the case

Jalaun : Relatives of a Samajwadi Party MLA allegedly gunned down a dalit , Satish, belonging to Charkhari area in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident came to light, on Tuesday, following intervention by senior police officials.

The incident:

• Satish has been admitted to a private hospital in Jhansi.
• SP MLA’s brother-in-law and her nephew were accused o attempting to kill Satish.
• Old enmities between the two parties is said to be the reason behind the crime .
• The police has still not filed any case against the accused because they were relatives of the MLA.
• The City director general has the police to investigate into the matter.
