Reliance Jio blow: Vodafone reduces 4G data prices by 50 percent

New Delhi: With Reliance Jio extending its free service by three months, telecom operators are trying their best to impress customers. Vodafone on Wednesday reduced the price of its 4G data by 50 percent.

The offer will live only for schemes above Rs 255.

Earlier, Vodafone users used to get 1GB of 3G/4G data at Rs 255, but, now they can enjoy double date or 2GB of 3G/4G data on the same price.

"All Vodafone 4G pre-paid customers can now avail 'Double Data' benefits on existing market packs and will enable Vodafone customers to enjoy an enhanced mobile internet experience. This offer is applicable on all 4G market packs starting from Rs 255," Vodafone said in a statement.

Few other plans:

Rs 459 plan: 6GB

Rs 559 plan: 8GB

Rs 999 plan: 20GB

Rs 1999 plan: 40GB

"We are confident that this value offering will further enhance mobile internet experience for our customers and will enable them to experience the world of Vodafone SuperNet4G to the fullest," said Apoorva Mehrotra, Business Head, Delhi-NCR of Vodafone.

Reliance Jio, however, is offering free data and calls, till March 31, 2017.
