Prime Minister Modi shares meal with Indian workers in Qatar
Doha: In a tender gesture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday shared meal with Indian workers in the capital of Qatar.
The PM reached Doha on Saturday in the second leg of his five-nation tour and met Indian workers in Msheireb Downtown Doha.
“My first program in Doha is meeting you all,” said PM Modi while speaking to workers and added, “sometimes, being alone is a disease and it really feels better when someone asks how we are. Especially, when someone who speaks our language asks us that, half the loneliness goes away.”
What workers said:
“He is the best PM and probably, the best person I’ve ever known. He had meal with us and asked us about our troubles,” said a worker.
“PM Modi said our hard work was the reason why Indians were appreciated across the globe and that he was proud of us. It was like meeting someone from our family. He is really a great personality,” said another.
