New Delhi: On the occasion of completion of four years in office by Pranab Mukherjee as President , a new museum was inaugurated in the Raj Bhawan. The museum is being built in phases. Only the first phase has been completed so far.

The president stated that "I had lived 43 years at a stone's throw from here and I didn't know anything other than three rooms of this magnificent building. So, the first thing I decided when I entered Rashtrapati Bhavan was that people should know more about it. I am happy at having some amount of success in opening the door to the public.”
