PDP MLA Khalil Band injured in mob attack
Jammu: A ruling People's Democratic Party, MLA, Mohammad Khalil Band, was injured and admitted to the army base hospital late on Sunday night. He was on his way to Srinagar when his vehicle was attacked by a mob at Prechu in Pulwama district in Jammu.
- Mehbooba Mufti, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister visited the hospital on Monday and inquired about his condition.
- The security guard and driver of the MLA suffered minor injuries.
Jammu and Kashmir has been facing violence since July 8, post Hizbul commander Burhan Wani's death. At least 39 people have been killed and 3,160 injured in the clashes so far.
