Video: Uttar Pradesh police solemnize marriage of a poor girl

Muzaffarnagar: It was most unusual when Jansath police station of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh became venue of a marriage. ...But it was for a good cause contrary to the image of men in khaki who solemnized marriage of the daughter of a poor tea vendor.

The local police not just helped the poor vendor but also made all the arrangements for the ceremony with a lot of fanfare, a gesture appreciated all around.

Wedding:

• Policemen helped Naseem to get his daughter married.
• Naseem runs a small tea shop outside Jansath police station.
• He sought help from the policemen and in return they got his daughter married.
• The wedding took place on Friday.
• The exemplary gesture is being appreciated by all.
