Nokia 6 launched with Android Nougat, 4GB RAM; likely to cost Rs 17K

Bengaluru: Nokia on Sunday marked its return to the smartphone market with the launch of its Android-based handset named 'Nokia 6'.

The smartphone has been introduced by HMD Global, the new custodian of the Nokia brand. The company has launched the hi-tech smartphone way ahead of its rumoured debut.

  • Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
  • The handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC processor.
  • It has a 5.5-inch full-HD display.
  • It also has a 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
  • Nokia 6 has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
  • The smartphone has a 3000mAh non-removable battery.
  • It comprises a 16 megapixel rear camera along with an 8 MP front facing camera.
  • The phone also offers louder sound with Dolby Atmos technology combined with 'dual amplifiers'.

Well, if the rumours are to be believed, the smartphone contains some out of the box features that none other smartphones of the current age have.

In a bad news for Nokia fans in India, the Finnish company has launched the smartphone in China only, and according to the reports it is expected to cost around Rs 17,000.
