Nitish's prohibition love has not got many takers in his party
Varanasi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may draw others in favour of prohibition but his own party workers do not seem to be toeing his line.
Sale of liquor in and around the area where he is holding two-day party meeting which began here on Thursday has almost doubled. Janta Dal (U) workers who have come from his dry-state of Bihar have contributed significantly in this regard.
According to observers, , many of them who arrived here a day earlier can be seen in the queue before the liquor shops in the area. Fortunately for them, these shops are not overcharging in view of the demand overstepping the supply.
It may be recalled here that Nitish has planned a country-wide tour in favour of prohibition which was introduced in Bihar last month. In the light of scene in this Prime Minister's constituency it appears that his mission may end in a failure.
