Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh capital is all geared up to enjoy the Metro services from September 6, a day after its inauguration by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, confirmed the officials on Monday.

The 8.5 km long 'Priority Corridor' from Transport Nagar to Charbagh will be opened for public use on September 6. The Lucknow Metro will commute on the specific route from 6 am to 10 pm on a daily basis.

The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) has done a commendable job in completing the job as it is the first ever Metro project to be executed and made operational for the public in less than three years.

It is worth mentioning that none other Metros have ever been able to achieve this feat in such a short and stiff time-frame as compared with Lucknow Metro’s strength in project deliverance. The project has been delivered under the guidance by Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC.

With this, Lucknow Metro has fulfilled the dream and aspirations of the people of Lucknow and the city will catapult itself in the league of ‘Metro’ cities in India.
