Kolkata: The University of Calcutta has announced the Union College Election dates. The State higher Education department has instructed all colleges to hold the elections till January 31.

Kolkata with the maximum number of colleges (65) will go to polls on January 27, 28, 30 and 31.

South 24-Parganas with 30 colleges and Hoogly with seven colleges will hold elections on January 31.

Howrah which has 20 colleges will hold polls on January 19.

Poll dates for various campuses of Calcutta University (CU) will be announced later.

According to Inspector of colleges (IoC) Debashis Biswas the poll date for each college in Kolkata will be announced in the coming week. Colleges with multiple shifts will have more than one election dates.
