Lucknow: Everyone has different definition for LOVE but they all are covered with the blanket of feelings and emotions.

While for one love means care, admiration and friendship and for other it means emotions, fun and a soulful connection.

Here we have explained different types of love experienced by people at different phases of life.

Romantic Love

It is a love that contains lots of feelings, emotions and intimacy. You will find lots of love birds romantically in love with each other. They never leave a chance to show their love by holding hands, kissing, cuddling, hugging.

Companionship Love

It is a state in friendship turns into something very deep. Partner want to remain together and they feel very comfortable with each other. Companionship comes with or without sexual aspects.

Sexual Love

It is a love which have lots and lots of sexual intercourse and activities between the couples.

In sexual love, couples give first priority to satisfy their sexual feelings.

Altruistic love

This is an intense feeling of deep affection for your spouse. This type of love include selfless concern for your partner.

Pragmatic Love

This is the kind of love that values practical aspects of relationship. The lover of this kind of love is very clear about what physical features, character traits, lifestyle and outlook their partner must have.

Manic Love

In this kind of love, a lover is obsessed with his/her partner. Person wants to love and be loved to find a sense of self-value. Because of this, they can become possessive and jealous lovers, feeling as though they desperately 'need' their partners.

Platonic Love

It is a type of love that does not involve sexual desire. It is an emotional and spiritual type of love between couple with no sexual feelings.

Philautia or Self Love

It is a type of love that is within self or we can define it as 'self-love' in easy language.

It is also needed in every relationship because we can only love and care someone only if we truly care for ourselves. Philautia is self-love, which can be good and bad depending on your own feelings. If you don’t have much love for yourself, you are most likely going through a depression.
