JEE Advanced 2017 Result: Aman Tiwari tops in Lucknow

Lucknow: Chandigarh-based Sarvesh Mehtani emerged as the topper of the IIT JEE Advanced 2017, results of which were declared on June 11 at 1000 hours.

Mehtani was followed by Akshat Chugh, from Pune, at the second and Ananye Agarwal from Delhi at the third ranks, respectively.

The candidates have been requested to check their results on the official website of JEE Advanced (jeeadv.ac.in). The results of those candidates who had registered their mobile numbers while filling up the application form for the examination have been messaged on their mobile phones. The JEE Advanced 2017 Paper 1 and Paper 2 were conducted on May 21 for admission in various engineering courses.

Aman Tiwari (All India Rank 256)

Lucknow-based Aman Tiwari has registered his name in the history by topping the city with 291 marks. On being contacted, Aman informed that his father Ajay Kumar Tiwari is the bank manager in State Bank of India (SBI) while his mother Neelam Tiwari is a housewife. Aman aspires to do B.Tech from IIT Delhi in Computer Science or Electronics trade.

Sharing his success mantra, Aman said that social media applications played an essential role in his achievement as his teachers used to send educational notes on WhatsApp, which helped him a lot. He claimed that ever since his school days, he used to study 6-7 hours daily and 11 hours on holidays. He aspires to become an IAS in future.

Rohan Gupta (All India Rank 354)

Rohan Gupta has secured second place in IIT JEE Advanced examination 2017 in Lucknow with 286 marks. He says that his father is a software engineer while mother Anamika Gupta is a gynecologist. He wished to study B.Tech from IIT Delhi or IIT Kanpur in Electrical trade.

Sajal Chaurasiya (All India Rank 484)

Sajal Chaurasiya has got third place in the city. He claimed that his father Arvind Chaurasiya is posted as CDO in Sitapur while his mother Gayatri Chaurasiya is a housewife. He also wishes to study B.Tech from IIT Delhi in Electronics trade.

He advised the aspiring candidates to focus on understanding the concepts well and stay away from unnecessary use of social media.

Skand Upadhyay (Rank 5 in Lucknow)

Pragyan Pandey (All India Rank 629) secured fourth while Skand Rajmeet Upadhyay (All India Rank 657) has got fifth place in the IIT JEE Advanced examination 2017.
