Islamic preacher Zakir Naik likely to be arrested soon

New Delhi: Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik, who is under scrutiny for his hate speeches, may be arrested soon. Naik has been accused of inspiring two terrorists involved in the attack at restaurant in Dhaka in which 20 people were killed.

After connections between terrorists and Naik came in light, Bangladesh urged the Indian government to initiate action against the controversial Islamic preacher. Centre tagged his speeches as 'highly objectionable' and hinted an 'appropriate action' against him.

A leading television channel claims quoting its reliable sources that government is taking the Zakir issue seriously and may order his arrest in near future.
