The Russian military has, however, denied reports that it had lost its equipments in the attack, saying the explosion was accidental.

“Four Russian helicopters and 20 lorries loaded with missiles within the airbase were exploded owing to a nearby fire and not because of any attack,” said a statement by the Russian military.

Making the attack clearer, ISIS released an image on the same day, which showed one of its combatants firing Grad rockets at the T-4 airbase.
