Indian Air Force aircraft goes missing with 29 people on board

New Delhi: An Indian Air Force aircraft AN-32, which was on a routine weekly courier duty for Air Force Personnel, went missing with 29 persons on board.

The aircraft was en route to Port Blair from Chennai and was last seen on radar at 0812 hours, on Friday morning. According to air force officials, the last contact with the aircraft was made at 0746 hours in the morning.

A massive combined search operation was launched by the Navy, Air Force and Coast Guards to locate the missing aircraft.
