Asia cup T-20: India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in Mirpur match
Mirpur: Continuing their dominant show in the shortest form of cricket, the India cricket team on Saturday defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the Mirpur T-20 match of Asia Cup.
The India cricket team acheived its target in 15.3 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
The Pakistan cricket team batting first had put 83 runs on boards.
India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni opted to bowl first on the green pitch and his bowlers responded brilliantly.
Medium paceman Hardik Pandya was the most successful among the Indian bowlers, picking up three wickets for eight runs, while Pakistan did not help their own cause with Khurram Manzoor and captain Shahid Afridi running themselves out.
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets while Nehra, Bumrah and Yuvraj also got one wicket each.
The Pakistan bowling attack also made Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Suresh Raina leave the crease early. Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir gave early jolts to Indian batting order and took 3 wickets by giving 18 runs.
