Gorakhpur: The Gorakhpur administration was on its toes after a hoax bomb call in Gorakhnath temple, one of most revered Temples of Hindus in Gorakhpur of Uttar Pradesh.

Vipul Khetan, the leader of Hindu vahini, received a call on his mobile phone in the wee hours on Saturday which was disconnected soon after saying a bomb had been planted in Gorakhnath temple. He informed the police which pressed bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs but the call turned out to be a hoax.

Reacting to this, the local MP and Mahant of the Temple Yogi Aditya Nath said that such calls should be traced as so many such calls were received in the recent times.

Superintendent of Police (City) Hemraj Meena told the media on the spot that nothing suspicious was found after a thorough checking of the entire premises even as the security of the Temple was beefed up.
