A galaxy of classical artistes will perform at Sankat Mochan
Varanasi: The two legends Ghulam Ali and Pandit Jasraj will mark the beginning of world famous six-day Sankat Mochan Music Conference, a historical event organsied on the occasion of Hanumaan Jayanti every year,
As many as sixty music stalwarts, which included 19 Padma awardees, will be seen performing at Sankat Mochan temple starting on Tuesday till May one next. These included vocalists, instrumentalists and dancers.
Ghulam Ali and Pt Jasraj:
- The Pakistani Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali will be the first singer to perform here.
- The noted classic singer Pt Jasraj will be the last performer of the opening night.
- T N Sheshgopalan and Anjali Pohankar will be other vocalists to perform tonight.
Galaxy of Stars:
- A galaxy of star performers will be seen here at sankat Mochan sangeet samaroah.
- Vishwamohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena),L Subramaniam(Violin),Hari Prasad Chaurasia(Flute), Sonal Mansingh( Dance) , Rajan-Sajan Mishra (Vocal) are some of the artistes to perform here.
Amitabh Bachchan:
- Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan has also desired to attend the samaroh.
- Pt. Vishambharnath Mishra , the Mahant of Sankatmochan Mandir, has extended formal invitation to him.
