Forty two killed by lightning across Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Forty two people were killed after they were struck by lightning at different places across Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, reports said.

• Eleven people were killed in Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.
• Four people were killed in Lucknow while three died in Kanpur Dehat.
• Six people were struck by lightning in Ghazipur, eight in Ballia while three in Jaunpur.
• Two people were killed in Sonbhadra, Chandauli and Azamgarh each.
