Kylie Jenner is the Forbes' richest self-made woman

Los Angeles: Forbes Richest Women 2018 Kylie Jenner International television personality, model and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner’s newborn daughter Stormi has a shoes collection of worth over Rs 15 lakh, and why not as her mother is appearing on the cover of Forbes' 'Richest Self-Made Women' issue.

Ever since Jenner founded Kylie Cosmetics in February 2016, her company has earned a revenue of whopping $630 million (over Rs 4,000 crore). The 20-year-old has managed to build a $900 million fortune.

This is the first time Jenner has been included in the Forbes' list since it was first published in 2014.

An overwhelmed Kylie Jenner took to Instagram and posted the cover of Forbes with a caption that reads, "wow. i can’t believe I’m posting my very own @forbes cover. thank you for this article and the recognition. I’m so blessed to do what i love everyday. i couldn’t have dreamt this up!"

"The most successful women entrepreneurs are increasingly taking advantage of technology, including social media, to help them launch and grow businesses," said Luisa Kroll, assistant managing editor of Forbes.

In an interview with Forbes, Jenner said that she has always been allured by cosmetics, even though she struggled to find something to do on her own.

"Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eyeshadow. I turned to make-up to help me feel more confident," she said.

Jenner also makes money from endorsements and is the youngest woman to be featured in the issue. She is also said to be the seventh most followed celebrity on Instagram.
