New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday retained Gujarat for the sixth consecutive time, but with a final tally of 99, it fell way short of its much touted "Mission 150" set by party chief Amit Shah.

The saffron party, however, wrested Himachal Pradesh from the Congress with a thumping majority, winning 44 of the 68 seats. The Congress lagged way behind with just 21 seats.
