Six doctors have performed the first Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS) here on a 26-year-old Meenal (name changed) male.They have transformed him into a female. The doctors kept him under observation for 15 days and finally took her to the Operation theatre on Tuesday.

The doctors kept him under observation for 15 days and finally took her to the Operation theatre on Tuesday.
Meenal said," My heart was beating in a man's body for the last 25 years. i knew that I was a woman since childhood. I want to enjoy married life with my partner just like a normal woman. I am happy with my new-found identity."
Meenal preferred Indore for her surgery as it was cheaper in comparison to Delhi.
According to doctor Ashwin who was in the team of doctors who performed the operation," We gave her a month to think twice and after a month she came to us with the same request."
He also said," We get approx 10 enquiries every year for SRS but we dont approve all of them."
The process of surgery includes Counselling and legal clearances before the final act.
