Varanasi: In a gesture of altruism, a big-time businessman of the city has donated one of his properties worth around Rs five crore to the trust of Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple on Wednesday in Varanasi city of Uttar Pradesh.

The Mumbai-based real state magnate, Ganesh Gupta, has given away his four-story ancestral abode to the trust, desiring to make it a guesthouse for the visitors of the temple.

Highlights:

  • The house, which is located at the Dashashwamedh ghat in Varanasi, comprises of 38 rooms.
  • The temple administration had paid the stamp duty of worth around Rs 35 lakh for the registry of the house.
