Blue Whale game finds another victim in UP; boy dies in Farrukhabad

Farrukhabad: Despite a complete ban and strict monitoring of the government authorities, the Blue Whale game found another victim in Buniadpur village of Farrukhabad district in Uttar Pradesh here recently.

A 19-year-old boy hanged himself to death in the village on Saturday last and when the family members went through his mobile phone, it was clearly evident that he committed suicide under the influence of the deadly online dare game.

The pictures in the handset of Ravi Kumar, son of Rajendra Diwakar, showed that he had cut his wrist several times with a blade in the past. His family members later performed his last rites.

The initial investigation revealed that Ravi, who used to be a jolly boy, had been overly busy with his handsets in the past one month. He was pursuing BSc. from an Etah-based college. He was also working for a Jaipur-based plastic factory.

The police officials have claimed that the family had not informed police about the suicide, but assured that appropriate action will be taken after a thorough probe.
